What is Playtown Dothan?
Playtown Dothan is an indoor, imagination-led play destination created especially for young children and the grown-ups who love watching them learn through play.
Children will step into a beautifully designed, child-sized Main Street where they can deliver the mail, care for animals, shop the market, answer a fire call, build something new, and become whoever their imagination chooses next.
Designed with purpose. Every environment supports creativity, social connection, confidence, and the kind of open-ended play that helps little minds grow.
Why is everything a drawing?
Right now, the images you’re seeing are concept drawings because Playtown is still taking shape! My vision is to partner with local businesses and brands to bring pieces of Dothan’s own Main Street to life inside Playtown. These partnerships will help shape the final look and feel of each space, and I’m so excited to begin sharing them—and showing you how Playtown will come to life!
A space for you too
As a mom of three, I’ve spent plenty of birthday parties and outings checking my watch every three minutes and wondering how time could possibly be moving so slowly. My dream is for Playtown to feel different, not only for kids, but for the grown-ups who bring them. With coffee, comfortable couches and seating, plenty of natural light, and thoughtful, frequent cleaning, Playtown will be a place where kids can play and grown-ups can actually enjoy being there, too.
